The Ascot Royals and INAMBUSH to rock Brantford Hockey Fest

I know you all think that I only like to live in my little bubble of Toronto shows, but it only seems like that due to how much awesome is happening here and a lack of transportation. But sometimes? I like to go back to where I grew up and check it out. As you know one of my favourite bands The Ascot Royals are Brantford based and they aren’t the only ones. It seems only fitting that they are going to be playing during the bonus show at this years Hockey Fest.¬† 3 days of music, all with a theme you have Country, Rock and then the Bonus show which is just full of extra added awesome.

I’m going to stick to the awesome and only focus on the 4th and 5th to give you a taste of what’s to come. We have

June 4th

  • Three Days Grace
  • Finger Eleven
  • The Trews
  • Bleeker Ridge
  • Fozzy ft. Chris Jericho
  • The Envy
  • Slow Motion Victory
  • Vinyl Heart

June 5th

  • Sublime w/Rome
  • Tokyo Police Club
  • Street Pharmacy
  • The Reason
  • Hollerado
  • The Artist Life
  • The Ascot Royals
  • Victory, Sweet Victory
  • Scotty James

Pretty solid line ups for both days. On Saturday you’re going to get a lovely taste of Brantford Alternative Metal band INAMBUSH. The boys are currently working on their new album and just shot a new video in Toronto this past weekend so definitely keep your eyes peeled. I’ve had the chance to see them play many times before and they have such a crisp, clean, heavy sound to it. Jeff’s vocals fit perfectly in with Alex’s shredding, as well as Leigh’s and Pat’s rhythm. If you can’t wait until HockeyFest to see them they will be playing this Saturday May 14th at the Boston Manor in Burlington with Bleeker Ridge for the Y108 Spring Music Festival.

As for Sunday I’ll definitely be checking out The Ascot Royals again. Also working on a new album they have a lot going on right now so keep your eyes peeled over the next few months for big shows. This being the first big one to kick off the summer. There’s definitely no better way than to start your summer vacation with dancing along with Jimmy and the rest of the boys as they rock out. I still haven’t been to one of their concerts without breaking a sweat no matter what the weather. It’s just too much fun to not dance along. If you’re itching to see them before hand you can always check their band or facebook page. No Toronto shows anytime soon to my knowledge, but they are always kicking about Brantford and are well worth the trip.

Brantford Hockey Fest is definitely the big go to for the first weekend in June and a good kick off to another summer of fantastic festivals in which I’m sure we’ll be seeing these two bands among many others we know and love. It will be taking place in Lions Park and a lot of shows are during the day so you don’t have to worry about being out too late. Bring your sunscreen and get ready to rock.
